President Muhammadu Buhari who landed in Banjul, Gambia on Friday, January 13, for a mediation meeting with the ousted president of the country Yahya Jammeh, received a hero’s welcome in the country.
The Nigerian leader and some Economic and West African States (ECOWAS) members had stormed the country earlier today to mediate with Jammeh to vacate the position he currently (wrongly) occupies.
Pictures taken by the president’s official photographer, Bayo Omoboriowo, revealed that President Buhari was warmly received in Gambia ahead of the meeting amid jubilation in the country.
