Cristiano Ronaldo eclipsed his long-standing rival Lionel Messi in non-penalty goals during Al-Nassr’s 2-1 triumph over Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League.

The Portuguese talisman showcased his scoring prowess by breaking the deadlock just 17 minutes into the game against Al-Fateh.

However, Salem Al Najdi’s equalizer for Al-Fateh after 29 minutes added intrigue to the encounter.

The decisive moment arrived in the 72nd minute when Otavio’s strike secured all three points for the hosts, elevating Al-Nassr’s position in the league standings.

With this victory, Al-Nassr now trails league leaders Al-Hilal by four points, albeit with a game in hand for the latter.

Ronaldo’s goal in the match not only propelled Al-Nassr to victory but also marked a personal milestone as it became his 715th non-penalty goal for both club and country.
