Reservoir Dog star, Michael Madsen and his family have expressed grief over the death of their 26-year-old son, Hudson Lee Madsen, saying they are heartbroken over the loss.

In a statement sent to Metro UK, the family said; “We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson,’ the family said.

“His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.’

“We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time. Thank you.

Meanwhile, The SUN reported that Hudson died in a suspected suicide.

A statement shared by the spokeswoman for the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu said: “I can confirm Hudson Lee Madsen, 26, died by a gunshot wound to the head in a suspected suicide on the island of Oahu.”

The publication, however, added that the authorities are yet to disclose when the incident took place.

According to his Facebook profile, Hudson lived in Wahiawa, Hawaii, with his wife Carlie.

Hudson appeared to have served in the US Army as he has posted photos on social media from time spent in Afghanistan.

Madsen is married to actor DeAnna Madsen, Hudson’s mother, who is reportedly travelling to Hawaii after her son’s death.

The couple share two other children, 25-year-old Calvin and 16-year-old Luke.

Prior to his marriage with DeAnna, Madsen was married twice before, first to Georganne LaPiere from 1984 to 1988 and then to Jeannine Bisignano from 1991 to 1995, with whom he shares two children.
