A lawyer and rights activist, Dr Kayode Ajulo, has expressed sadness at the death of Mohammed, the eldest son of late legal icon and rights campaigner, Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN).

Mohammed died on Wednesday in Lagos at the age of 52.

Ajulo described him as a comrade and brother who would be sorely missed.

He said that Mohammed stayed on course until death.

Ajulo prayed for God to give succour to Mohammed’s family.

The News Agency of Nigeria gathered that Mohammed complained of breathing difficulty and was taken to a hospital where he died.

He had a law degree from the University of Buckingham, England, and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1998.

In 2003, he had an accident in Lagos which affected his spinal cord and confined him to wheelchair.
