Police kill armed robbery gang in Anambra, SEE photo of the female leader
A 5-man armed robbery gang met their Waterlooo on Wednesday as they were killed when they engaged the Anambra state Special Anti-Robbery Squad in a gun duel.
According to report from our correspondent, the suspects were killed along Nnebis road in Asaba, Delta state following a tip-off.
The killed robbers included a female suspect and four others.
In fact, the female suspect, known as “commander”, was described as the kingpin of the 5-man gang.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Ali Okechukwu, while disclosing the happening to newsmen on Wedneday stated that the Delta State Police Command arrested and handed over one of the suspects to the Anambra Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
He said three vehicles and several ammunition, including AK47 raffle and magazines, 24 rounds of live ammunition; two locally made guns, five cartridges and charms were recovered from the gang.
