A Singapore Airlines plane en route from London to Singapore onTuesday has left one person was killed and several injured.
The company stated that aircraft experienced a severe turbulence
The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300ER, encountered turbulence about 90 minutes from its destination of Singapore and was diverted to Bangkok after the incident.
It was reported to be carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members.
“Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased,” the company said in a statement.
The flight, which had been scheduled to arrive at Singapore Changi Airport, instead touched down in Thailand at about 3:45 p.m. local time, the carrier said.
