Nigerians drag Davido for appearing in COZA promotional video

Nigerian singer Davido is presently a subject of internet trolling following his appearance in a promotional video for the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) programme.
Recall that COZA Senior Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo was accused of rape by celebrity photographer Busola Dakolo.
Although the case was dismissed by a High Court of FCT, Abuja, many Nigerians on social media now see the church and its pastor as a plague that should not be associated with.
In the controversial video posted on Instagram by Fatoyinbo, Davido was seen with a little girl and a woman announcing the church’s coming programme ’12 Days of Glory.’
Davido had asked the little girl, “Where will you be on the first of January 2020?”
The girl and the woman believed to be her mom responded that they would be at COZA programme.
Shortly after the video went viral on social media, users have been trolling and lambasting the singer for associating with the church despite the rape allegations against its senior pastor.
See some of the reactions:
Biko who advised Davido to record this promotional video for COZA 12 days of Glory? Totally disappointed. You people should do better. Biodun Fatoyinbo we see your PR work with Davido, but the world knows who you’re. pic.twitter.com/fJa1Yvg4qJ

There’s a BIG value deficit issue at COZA.
It doesn’t add up that a church uses a secular artiste like @davido to promote a 12-day prog of “fasting, intense worship, consecration, ballistic prayers and miracles”.
This mismatch is more worrying than Davido’s disowning of COZA. pic.twitter.com/klBek3fDTE

Davido lowkey waiting for y’all to drag him about COZA so he drops the sweet in the middle video.

Forget all this surprise surprise you people are forming, me I just want to know, will Davido be performing at COZA? https://t.co/fimLMsr1x9

Nigeria artists are tone deaf. Serious brands are running away from Biodun Fatoyinbo but Davido feels the best thing at this point is to promote COZA 12 days of Glory. Naah, you guys got it all wrong. This is so distasteful, stop sharing your platform with a serial molester.

If you’re still a davido fan, hide your face cos your fave endorses rape and abuse against women. Davido was featured in an ad for a COZA program and is apparently a ‘friend’ of biodun fatoyinbo the serial rapist.

COZA using Davido, a circular artist to promote a church program just shows how desperate they are.
Davido’s intention might be pure sef.— MOH? (@Iam_dr_moh) December 18, 2019
COZA will never trend for healing, deliverance, raising the dead, performing miracles signs and wonders or converting souls to Christ…. Once I see COZA in the news it’s for a bad reason and this time it’s completely distasteful
