Nigerian lawmakers finally take actions over death of six NYSC members
The House of Representatives has resolved to prosecute all personnel involved in the act of negligence that led to the death of six National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in camp recently.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara said this on Tuesday via his official Twitter handle, adding that the lawmakers observed a minute’s silence in honour of late Ms. Ifedolapo Oladapo and five other corps members who recently lost their lives at NYSC orientation camps.
Apart from commiserating with the family members of the deceased, Dogara tweeted that the House has resolved to summon the Director General of NYSC before the joint committees on health, youth and justice.

In response to these deaths, the House resolved as follows;
1. That the DG of NYSC appear before joint committees on health, youth & justice— Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara (@SpeakerDogara) December 6, 2016
2. That any and all personnel involved in the act of negligence be prosecuted.

/orientation camps in all 36 states & FCT with fully equipped medical facilities & this should be provided for in the 2017 Appropriation Act
