See what Nigerians are saying about the traffic caused by Club Quilox
In the early hours of Monday, Nigerians took to Twitter to complain of traffic which was caused by Club Quilox a luxurious style nightclub in Victoria Island, Lagos owned by Shina Peller.
The displeased road users lamented how they were stuck in traffic for hours and shared photos and videos of cars blocking the road.
Some also blamed the club for constantly disturbing road users during the weekends adding that it was irresponsible of the club owner.

However, some Nigerians defended the club arguing that many religious bodies especially churches also disturb road users frequently.
Other Twitteratti expressed divergent views.

Quilox is a socially irresponsible club.
Yes, I said it.
It probably wouldn’t change anything in the grand scheme of things but I hope it brings the conversation to the front burner.#Thread #lagos #CSR @ClassicFM973 #rant

Quilox is a really big club, Nigerians aren’t cherishing what we have, apparently because it’s “causing traffic”.
We have what some of the biggest clubs in the us has and we should maximize it.
Just tax them more cos obviously, they sell a whole lot.

The incident of Quilox activities till this Monday morning is a big sign of bad zoning. There’s no conformity in physical development in Nigeria. We are just building haphazardly and no one is talking, not even the citizens are yet to acknowledge planning.

Witchcraft is when your “enjoyment” causes headache for your neighbour. THAT is witchcraft. There are other clubs along that axis. There is Xovar. There is the one at TLC. Do you see them causing trouble the way Quilox is?

People saying Quilox is on a major road, how can it be, government should do something yen yen yen Did they just open Quilox? Has it not been there since? Do they party during the day? These same people will still party there someday. Y’all just angry for no reason.

A reliable source confirms that children of the world are still clubbing at Quilox, causing traffic and making that route inaccessible for the common man going to work.

Why is quilox allowed to do this… it’s just insane… a club on a major road is a no no… why …no regulations

And I hear the proprietor/owner of Quilox is a contestant in the coming elections. Well, if I was his constituent, he just lost my vote.
I feel it’s time citizens start resisting certain “norms” if our country is ever to see a better tomorrow. There are many others like Quilox.— Amaechi Ilo ?? (@bravomike67) December 24, 2018
Double Standard, it’s not okay for Quilox to cause traffic but it’s okay for Redemption Camp and Prayer City to cause traffic ??

1. How did the management of Quilox get the necessary regulatory approval to open a night club/entertainment center in that location? Smack in the middle of Ozumba Mbadiwe?
2. How can the management of an institution show such apathy towards residents of their host community?— Amaechi Ilo ?? (@bravomike67) December 24, 2018
3. How come no one is talking about this?
Today was supposed to be one of the few days in the year where 8-5 workers like myself could count on a smooth drive from their homes to their workplace – a bonus from the Christmas holidays. But no! Quilox people will not let us.
— Amaechi Ilo ?? (@bravomike67) December 24, 2018
I don’t care about partisan affiliations (I have none). I don’t care about political correctness (not right now). All I care about is for the management of that establishment (and all others who operate in like manner) to do better.
End.
