‘I’ve finally got 5G’, Ryan Reynolds trolls conspiracy theorists after receiving COVID-19 vaccine

American actor, Ryan Reynolds, says he has successfully received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday.

 

The ‘Deadpool’ actor shared the news with the 37.1 million followers on his verified Instagram account.

 

Known for his theatrics in movies, Reynolds took one for his fans by taking a dig at conspiracy theorists spreading unverified rumours about the virus and the vaccine.

“Finally got 5G,” Reynolds captioned the shot, mockin the conspiracy theory that the virus originated from cellphone and 5G service.

 

People reports that, the claim gained momentum at the beginning of the pandemic when information about the virus and its high infection rate was still scarce.

 

The actor and his wife, Blake Lively, have been giving back to their communities throughout the pandemic by donating to various causes.

In the same vein, fellow American star, Amber Heard, also got her first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, Huffpost reports.

 

Both Reynolds and Heard join the list of Hollywood celebs who have successfully got vaccinated in the first round.

The list includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jeff Goldblum, Jessica Chastain, Ozzy Osbourne, Judi Dench, Anthony Daniels, Steve Martin, Tyler Perry, Sean Penn, Ian McKellen, Joan Jett, Dolly Parton, Patrick Stewart, Tony Bennett and more.
