I HAVE BEEN AN ABSENTEE HUSBAND FOR EIGHT YEARS! I now want to stay with my wife and enjoy each other, says Aregbesola
The Osun State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has said that he has been an absentee husband long enough and can’t wait to stay with his wife and enjoy one another.
Aregbesola whose eight-year tenure elapses on Monday blamed the circumstance on his demanding role as a governor.
The 61-year-old said:
“I want to go and rest. I have been an absentee husband for long enough. I now want to stay with my wife and enjoy each other.
“We are happy we have someone like Gboyega Oyetola succeeding this administration because he knows everything we did and will surely continue where we stop.
“So, there is hope for this state.
“All praises go to God for not allowing those who wanted to use trick to get to power without vision and who will destroy our legacies and reverse the direction and the development of the state. Every file before getting to me must pass through Oyetola. So, he is set for the job.”
Recall that Aregbesola had said that his successor, Gboyega Oyetola, does not have his swagger but he is a brilliant person.

He also declared that he had not earned a dime in salary since he became governor of the states.

Gboyega Oyetola is a cool, calm and brilliant goal getter, but he is not a radical like me. He does not have my swagger but he is an extremely cerebral human being. #OgbeniTillDayBreak

The State feeds me, fuels my car and covers my other expenses. This is why I see no reason to earn a salary.
I have no house save the one I built before I became governor of Osun. #OgbeniTillDayBreak
