Gunmen assassinate Plateau APC publicity secretary
The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Sylvanus Namang had reportedly been shot dead by unknown assailants in Pankshin town, Pankshin Local Government Area of the state.
An anonymous official of the party confirmed the distressing news over the telephone to Daily Trust, revealing that Namang succumbed to injuries sustained in the attack.
The party member expressed sorrow, stating, “The late Namang was a dependable ally, deeply committed to the development of the APC at the grassroots and state levels.”
Amid the grief, the party plans to issue a statement detailing the circumstances surrounding Namang’s untimely death. The loss of the APC Publicity Secretary is a significant blow to the party, given his dedicated contributions to its growth and progress.
The tragic incident occurred around 7:30 am, as Namang was gunned down outside his hotel room in Pankshin by hoodlums.
Namang had left home on Saturday to attend a burial in Pankshin, where the unexpected and devastating attack took place.
