Gun-wielding hoodlums kill Anambra traffic officer
Pandemonium erupted on Tuesday morning when gunmen attacked Ekwulobia town in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State where an unidentified traffic warden has been reported dead, DAILY POST reports.
It was not immediately clear if the men were armed robbers, cultists or bandits operating under the guise of ‘unknown gunmen’ as they have come to be known.
An eyewitness said an unidentified male official of the Anambra Traffic Management Agency, who was controlling traffic at the ever-busy Ekwulobia junction was gunned down, with a bullet shattering his head from behind.
However, the State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga could not be immediately reached for comments.
