Jigawa gov Namadi donates 30 motorcycles to police
Governor Malam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has donated 30 patrol motorcycles to the Nigerian Police Force’s Jigawa State Command.
The governor, represented by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, stated that the motorcycles would improve surveillance and response operations against criminals in the state.
The donation is the first phase of distributing motorcycles and vehicles to security agencies by the current administration.
While the Nigerian Police Force will benefit from this donation, other security outfits will receive similar donations in subsequent batches.
The Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State presented the keys to the motorcycles to DC OPS Tijjani Murtala in his office, describing Jigawa State as the most peaceful state in the country.
He assured that all necessary support and cooperation would be provided to security outfits operating in the state to maintain this status.
DC Tijjani Murtala expressed his gratitude for the donation and assured that the motorcycles would be used to enhance security in the state. “We will ensure it counts in the activities we are carrying out in our areas of responsibility,” he said.
