EPL: Arsenal survive Brighton test in goalless draw
Arsenal were held to a goalless draw against Brighton in their Premier League encounter at the Amex Stadium on Saturday night.
Arsenal looked good going into the game after three consecutive EPL wins but lost their confidence to the daunting advances of Brighton.
Graham Potter’s side were the better of both sides, but Lewis Dunk, Neal Maupay and Dan Burn failed to convert their chances.
Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe’s late effort was saved by Robert Sanchez as both teams shared the spoils.
Mikel Arteta’s men who defeated Tottenham 3-1 in last weekend’s north London derby have Aaron Ramsdale to thank for the solid performance in goal.
Brighton move into fifth place on 14 points, one ahead of champions Manchester City, who play their game in hand tomorrow at Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Arsenal pip Brighton to ninth on ten points, ahead of the Bees’ game at West Ham tomorrow.
