(VIDEO) Osinachi: Simi charges churches to speak out against domestic violence

Nigerian singer and sound engineer, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, aka Simi has addressed the church on the issues of domestic violence.

The mother of one in an Instagram post on Saturday said that the church needs to do better when it comes to enlightening Christians on domestic violence or any kind of abuse.

Her plea comes in the wake of outrage and backlash that trailed the death of popular gospel artist, Osinachi Nwachukwu over the weekend.

“The church needs to start letting people know that its okay to speak out when they are going through something, ask for help when they need help, you are not any less of a christian or born again if you are going through something and you speak out.

“People are going through domestic violence, depression, abuse of whatever kind, they are just suffering from some kind of mental breakdown and they are not getting any help, going to therapy because they are told that if you have christ in you and the holyspirit, just pray it away, so many christians are suffering, we need to start doing better,” she said in parts.
