Friends and fans of Osinachi Nwachukwu on Saturday expressed shock after the news of the gospel singer demise flooded the internet.

Earier reports said that the 'Ekwueme' crooner died battling throat cancer after being on life support for two months.

Hours later, another emerged version of the calamity that befell her surfaced came from some of her colleagues in the industry and alleged friends of the family.

In fact, a certain Barrister Chidinma also shared same belief as singer Frank Edward that the gospel star must have died as a result of domestic violence she suffered in her marriage.

She said, "Osinachi Nwachuwu's husband has been beating and maltreating this woman but she's been dying in silence now he kicked the woman on her chest ans he's been on life support for five days and finally died.

"Now the man has been arrested and I pray he rots in jail!!!

Meanwhile, another person identified as Darlington Chidera Ibekwe said the domestic abuse story of Osinachi could be true.

In his words; "The domestic abuse story on Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu could as well be true.

"When the demise of Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu broke last night, I called a few people very close to her to make confirmation and I was told that the ugly news was true, she was on life support for a while too.

"I remember telling Samuel Chieke and my friends last night that Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu was a soft spoken woman, extreme humble but you see her husband? Real trouble!

"December 2020, I was organizing the Nkwerre Carnival, we had big Gospel acts coming through, from Evang. Chinedu Nwadike to Chinyere Udoma and Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu etc, we were settled on charges for everyone except Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu, while over the phone with her, she wasn’t interested in the money, she wanted to minister to the crowd that was on ground, she was just particular about us providing a vehicle that would move her from Nkwerre to another program she had that night, we agreed and then she referred me to her husband who acted as her manager to finalize, man was rude, saucy, gave a price and said if we were not ready to make that payment he would end the call, I wouldn’t want to go into other things that transpired and finally we couldn’t have Sister Osinachi minister at that Carnival.

"Some days after, Sister Osinachi called back and was asked for an update, I told her what has happened, she wasn’t happy but she couldn’t do anything about it, she was scared of her husband, it wasn’t respect, she was scared of that man.

"I just hope the whole domestic abuse issue isn’t too true and she die-d of throat cance-r as reported by some quarters, but if it was really her husband who sent her to meet her creator at age 42, he should be arrested and made to rot in jail.

"This is one death too many!
