The UEFA Europa League Round of 16 is taking shape as eight teams have successfully qualified following the conclusion of Thursday’s group stage matches. 

The group stage witnessed a mix of impressive performances from certain teams and disappointments from others during the initial phase of the competition.

Notable results include Rangers’ 3-2 victory over Real Betis, Liverpool’s 2-1 loss to Union Saint-Gilloise in an away match, West Ham United’s 2-0 triumph over Freiburg at home, and Brighton’s 1-0 win against Marseille. 

AS Roma secured a convincing 3-0 win against Sheriff, while Villarreal emerged victorious with a 3-2 scoreline against Rennes.

The Round of 16 draw is scheduled for February 23, 2024, with the first and second leg fixtures set to take place on March 7 and 14, 2024, respectively.

The teams that have qualified for the Round of 16 as group winners are Atalanta, Brighton, Leverkusen, Liverpool, Rangers, Slavia Praha, Villarreal, and West Ham. 

Additionally, the winners from the Europa League knockout round playoffs will join these eight teams in the Round of 16.
