Despite the current economic recession in the country, most of our traditional rulers and elected public officials are still living large.

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Saturday, arrived the Mini Durbar organised as part of activities to mark the 10th year anniversary of the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar at Polo Grounds, Sokoto State, in his vintage Rolls Royce.

The Emir of Kano, who has an impressive garage, was well guided at the event by his security details.

Sanusi II, who was the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) was crowned the Emir of Kano on June 8, 2014. He succeeded his late grand uncle Dr Ado Bayero, who died on June 6, 2014.
