Nigerian music sensation Davido faced a setback at the 66th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles as he failed to secure any win despite being nominated in three categories.

The celebrated artist, vying for his first Grammy, had nominations in the Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Global Album Performance.

Unfortunately, Davido did not emerge victorious in any of the categories. The highly competitive Best African Music Performance saw Tyla’s ‘Water’ claiming the top spot.

In the Best Global Music Performance category, ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia took home the honors. Shakti’s ‘The Moment’ clinched victory in the Best Global Album category, leaving Davido without a Grammy win on this occasion.

While the outcome marked a disappointment for Davido and his fans, being nominated for three prestigious Grammy Awards underscores the artist’s global recognition and contribution to the music industry.

The 66th Grammy Awards showcased the fierce competition and diversity in the music landscape, with different genres and artists from around the world being recognized for their outstanding contributions.

Despite the setback at the Grammys, Davido remains a prominent figure in the Nigerian and international music scenes, and his continued success and influence in the industry are anticipated in the years to come.
