Chrisland: Police arraign four teachers over students’ sexual misconduct
The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday arraigned four teachers of Chrisland Schools before the Yaba Magistrate Court, Lagos, after a 10-year-old female was engaged in group sex with other male students.
WuzupNigeria reported that the students had represented that school at the World School Games in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates when the incident occurred.
Subsequently, the four teachers, namely – Oladotun Sotunde, Elesho Tajudeen, Rhoda Olanipekun, and Ajiboye Hammed, who accompanied some of the pupils to the UAE have now been arraigned before the Magistrate court.
According to reports, the teachers are facing charges of alleged conspiracy and conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace preferred against them by the Police.
WuzupNigeria had reported that the group sex which was recorded by the students and posted online had gone viral, causing uproar on social media.
This led to the closure of the school by the Lagos State Ministry of Education for about a week.
According to the Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, the school was reopened “to ensure that students are not denied access to learning when the new term begins on Monday 25th April 2022.
“The Ministry of Education and other relevant agencies of the State, in conjunction with the school’s Parent Teachers Association, will be working on scheduled psychosocial support for the students.
