JUST IN: Boris Johnson self-isolates after contact with positive case
The British Government has confirmed that Prime Minister Boris Johnson is self-isolating after coming in contact with someone who tested positive COVID-19.
A spokesman for the government disclosed this via a statement on Sunday night.
The Downing Street spokesman noted that Johnson who was hospitalised with coronavirus in April is currently asymptomatic and will work from his DOwining Street residence.
“He will carry on working from Downing Street, including on leading the Government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic,”
“The PM is well and does not have any symptoms of COVID-19”, the spokesman said.
