Backstreet Boys celebrate 26 years as a band with epic throwback photo
American pop super-group the Backstreet Boys, also known as BSB, over the weekend celebrated 26th anniversary of being a boy band.
The group which comprises of five singers, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson and AJ McLean became popular during the 1990s and 2000s. They are the highest selling boy band of all time with 130 million records sold.
They took to Instagram to celebrate their major milestone with a heartwarming throwback of the five singers in their early days, singing at a high school gym.
Backstreet Boys shared the photo via their IG handle @backstreetboys and wrote;
“On this day in 1993 we became the Backstreet Boys.
“From performing in high school gyms to heading out on a world tour this summer (plus a #1 album!!), never could the five of us have imagined what the past 26 years would hold,” the caption continued. “Thank you all. Here’s to many more years!”
