Afees Aremu moves to Germany
Former Akwa United midfielder Afees Aremu continue his European sojourn on Monday as he switched from IK Start of Norway to St Pauli, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Afees left the shore of the country few years back after a successful outing with Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team.
The head coach of the team Timo Shultz was excited after the capture of the Nigeria international.
“In Afeez we’re getting a component our squad had been lacking. He’s the dynamic ‘enforcer’ type of player I was after.
“He’s already completed several seasons at a high level and at his age has potential to develop at the same time,” he said.
The 20-year-old Nigerian midfielder moved to Norway from Ghanaian first-division side Inter Allies FC in early 2018 and made a total of 63 competitive appearances for IK Start, scoring five goals and providing one assist.
