A student of the department of leisure and tourism of the Adamawa State polytechnic, Witness Ishaya, whose throat was slit by her jealous boyfriend upon seeing her with another man has recovered from the injury.

This was disclosed via a Facebook post of Tagwe Noel Acha, writing, “Who said God isn’t awesome? She’s alive ! We bless God for your life my dear. We should be warned with people we call boy friends, girlfriends, husbands and wives. He wanted to kill you but God has given you a chance to live again.”

Recall that a fellow student of Ishaya, simply identified as ‘presido’ was  accused of using knife to cut her throat out of jealousy.

According to a Facebook user, Aminu Mohammed Inuwa, tragic incident happened recently when “presido” saw Ishaya alighting from somebody’s car, and he assumed that the car owner snatched his girlfriend.

It was gathered that the accused later that day ambushed Ishaya very close to the female hostel of the Adamawa State Polytechnic in Yola. And after beating her, he used a knife on her throat in an attempt to butcher her.

“Some students who heard her wailing came to her rescue, though she survived it but she is in a critical condition,” the Facebook user had stated.

We are glad to know that the victim has now recovered from the injury inflicted upon her.
