Abia State University appoints new Registrar
The Governing Council of Abia State University, at its 144th Regular Meeting, approved the appointment of a new Substantive Registrar of the University, effective 1st September 2020.
The new Registrar is Acho Elendu, who until his appointment, was the Deputy Registrar, Public Affairs.
Mr. Acho Elendu is the first Alumnus of Abia State University to occupy the office in the University.
He has been the university Deputy Registrar, since 2007 and belongs to several professional bodies including being a Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria.
In approving the appointment of Acho Elendu as the Substantive Registrar, Abia State University, the Governing Council said it considered the result of a highly competitive and transparent screening exercise which was keenly contested by over 10 contestants.
