A woman in Sokoto State has reportedly been delivered of a baby girl with Arabic inscriptions on her chest, thigh and back.
According to various online reports, the girl – who was born on 2nd March 2019 – also has a crescent sign on her ankle.
She is the fourth child of her police officer father identified as Hussaini, based in Katsina.
The 24-year-old mother, Saratu Yusuf, a native of Garkan Sardauna, Sokoto North LGA, told journalists that there was no complication before and after delivery of the child who weighed 2.5kg at birth.
“The pregnancy went very smoothly much more than others. I had no complication, from the beginning to the day I gave birth at Police Clinic along Barth Road Sokoto. The labour started at about 6 am and delivered exactly at 6pm,” she said.
The woman added that she did
“not notice anything at the hospital until we got home when my elder sister wanted to bathe her, she discovered the inscription on her chest, thigh and back. She also has a crescent sign on her ankle.”
Crowds have thronged their residence to witness first-hand the baby who is said to be born with Arabic inscriptions.
She said among the peculiar things discovered on the girl is that she cannot have the earring hole on her ear lobe as, after several attempts, the skin would not open.
The baby will be named on Saturday (tomorrow) after the father returns home from election duty.
Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Abubakar, on receiving the baby in his palace praised Allah for His wonders.
He also donated N100,000, a ram and five pieces of clothing materials to the family.
