It is no longer news that Enugu Rangers won their first league title after a 32-year wait, a period under which many other clubs have gone ahead to list the trophy.
However, after their breakthrough season, the football club based in eastern Nigeria may have spoilt the pomp and pageantry with which such victories are often celebrated.
Like their foreign counterparts, the club’s management decided to have a parade around the the city to show their fans and the locals the elusive trophy, but their efforts only got football followers and social media rodents talking and raining abuses on the club.
The club paraded their trophy using a truck which would have been more appropriate for the transportation of wood, petroleum or other products to their final consumers.
Check out the pictures below:
Nigerians have also taken to the social media to comment on the pictures as they made comparisons with the roof top buses used by the English Premier League champions Leicester City to show their trophy to their fans and the locals.
