Governor Ibikunle Amosun, on Wednesday, led the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on an assessment tour of areas affected by last Friday’s flood in Abeokuta.
The incident, which has been described as a Black Friday, left tales of woes.
Apart from sweeping away numerous properties, many casualties were also recorded. One of them was the loss of two children of the same mom at Odedairo street, Nawardeen area.
The deceased were said to have just returned from school and waiting for the arrival of their mom when tragedy struck.
In Ago Ijesha area, a mother and her toddler – daughter were swept away by the flood during the torrential rain.
Household items, goods and other valuables were destroyed.
