Nigerian singer Davido has launched a series of vitriolic tweets at DJ Tunez following the DJ’s recent physical fight with Burna Boy in Lagos.

The tension began a few weeks ago when DJ Tunez and Burna Boy got into a physical altercation at Obi’s House, a popular weekly Afrobeats party. What started as a heated argument quickly turned into a physical confrontation, with members of Burna Boy’s team said to have joined in before bystanders restored order.

On Wednesday, Davido, who seemed to be taking sides with Burna Boy, took to X to taunt Tunez.

“Ur just a disgusting nasty fellow … DEM USE BOOT CARRY UR STEEZE FOREVER .. idiot,” he wrote.

The singer also retweeted a video of Burna Boy dancing to ‘Money Constant’ by DJ Tunez featuring Wizkid, DJ Maphorisa, and Mavo. While singing along, Burna Boy changed the lyric “Ogbafia dey my side” to “Ogbafia dey for ground,” then dramatically fell — a move widely seen as a jab at DJ Tunez.

He also threatened: “WE GO HUMBLE UR MADNESS WEY U THINK SAY U CARRY,” and accused the DJ of sending nudes to females,”And stop sending nudes to females ! U know wat am talkin about !!! Fuck nigga ! I will destroy u.”

A user confronted Davido, stating that Tunez can never lose his steeze and that he stood 10 toes down without Davido’s money or security.

Davido responded: “Your daddy your daddy nah only thing Una know … why ur papa no hustle … shut up n slide for TUNEZ.”

He added: “Na frustration you see inherit from your papa e reach to dey vex.”

The exact cause of Tunez and Burna Boy’s dispute remains unclear, but online speculation suggests it may be linked to long-standing industry rivalries, especially the DJ’s close association with Wizkid. Wizkid had earlier reacted to the incident with a swipe at Burna Boy, referring to his colleague as a “coward” for allegedly attacking Tunez with the help of ten other men.

DJ Tunez also aimed a dig at Burna Boy, calling him a “coward” and posting “All Signs of Weakness” — a twist on Burna Boy’s album title ‘No Sign of Weakness.’
