Tinubu to visit Borno, Bauchi, Lagos on official, private engagements

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to depart Abuja on Saturday for a series of visits to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos states.

In Borno State, the President will inaugurate selected projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum, as well as initiatives supported by the Federal Government.

During his stay in Maiduguri, President Tinubu will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Borno, the President will proceed to Bauchi State to pay a condolence visit to the state government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the respected Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood.

Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi passed away on November 27.
Following the condolence visit, President Tinubu will travel to Lagos State, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays.

While in Lagos, the President is expected to serve as the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival slated for December 27, among other official engagements.

The Eyo Festival, to be held at Tafawa Balewa Square, will celebrate notable personalities, including President Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
