A housemate from Big Brother Naija Season 10, Imisi, has shared a harrowing story from her past, revealing that she was sexually assaulted at the age of 13, which led to a pregnancy and an eventual abortion.
Imisi made the disclosure during a personal storytelling task assigned to housemates following the Head of House challenge.
Speaking alongside fellow contestants Koyin, Jason Jae, Sultana, and Mide, she recounted the traumatic events that, according to her, continue to affect her deeply.
She explained that after being sent away from her home at a young age, she was taken in by someone who later abused her.
“So I got raped. That was the first time I got raped in my life. I had to go to school the next day, then I was sent to go back home, then I got raped the second time, there in that same room. Then I later realised I was pregnant and I was just 13 years old. I had to abort the child. I feel like that is something that traumatises me every time I cannot be in a dark place alone,” she said.
Imisi described the incident as a defining and painful moment in her life, adding that the trauma from those experiences still lingers.
The moment has sparked emotional responses from viewers, with many praising her courage in speaking publicly about such a sensitive and personal ordeal on a national platform.
