BTS star Jeon Jungkook has broken another record as his 2023 single “3D”, featuring American rapper Jack Harlow, crossed one billion streams on Spotify on August 24, 2025.
This makes “3D” the singer’s fourth track to surpass the billion-stream mark, cementing him as the first Asian soloist to achieve such a milestone from a debut solo album, Golden.
Even while serving in the South Korean military, Jungkook’s music has continued to dominate charts worldwide. His fans in Nigeria and other parts of the globe have flooded social media with celebratory messages, hailing him as the most-streamed K-pop soloist with over 9.4 billion streams across all platforms.
A Lagos-based fan, Queen Esther, commented, “Jungkook keeps raising the bar. To hit one billion streams again while serving in the army is proof of his global power.”
Many Nigerian music lovers, who have embraced K-pop alongside Afrobeat over the past decade, have been replaying and sharing “3D” nonstop since the news broke.
“3D” combines smooth pop melodies with Jack Harlow’s rap verses, creating a unique sound that resonates with audiences worldwide, including fans across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.
Music analyst Daniel Okon noted, “This milestone shows how global K-pop has become. Jungkook is proving that Asian artists can stand tall on the global stage, just like African stars have done with Afrobeat.”
Now that Jungkook has completed his military service, fans are eagerly waiting for fresh music and upcoming projects, confident that his record-breaking streak is only just beginning.
