Two suspected one-chance operators were killed by a mob in Lugbe, Abuja, on Saturday after allegedly throwing a victim out of their moving vehicle.

The angry mob also set the suspects’ vehicle on fire.

A commercial driver, Ahmed, who witnessed the incident, said the suspects were caught after a chase.

“What happened was that after a victim was thrown out of a moving vehicle, some people chased the car and caught up with it after Dunamis Church. There were three people inside. One managed to escape, one died immediately after being beaten, and the third was in critical condition. I later heard that he also died,” Ahmed said.

He added that the injured victim was rushed to a hospital by some Good Samaritans.

The FCT Police Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, said she would respond to inquiries but had not done so at the time of filing this report.
