Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has assured that no region in the state will be left out of his administration’s development plans for the 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and the 2025 Budget.
Speaking during a town hall meeting in Ijebu-Ode, Abiodun emphasized that projects are being evenly distributed across the state’s three senatorial districts.
Represented by Chief Economic Adviser and Finance Commissioner, Dapo Okubadejo, the governor highlighted ongoing infrastructural projects in Ogun East, including the reconstruction of key roads such as Imoro-Imegun-Opopo and Igbeba-Eid praying ground to Prison Road in Ijebu-Ode.
Despite financial constraints, he noted that over 64 kilometers of rural roads are also under construction, aiming to improve rural accessibility and boost agricultural productivity.
Abiodun also pointed to significant investments in security, with additional patrol vans and surveillance drones procured in partnership with Lagos and Oyo states to monitor the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
He also noted progress on the Gateway International Agro-cargo Airport, which will position Ogun as a major logistics hub in the region.
In Ogun East, the governor reported the completion of over 243 kilometers of roads, including the Chris-Ogunbajo-Erunwon and Balogun Kuku roads, as well as internal roads at Olabisi Onabanjo University. He encouraged citizens to contribute to the budget planning process.
Traditional leaders, including the Gbegande of Ososa, Oba Toye Alatishe, and the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Rasaq Adenugba, praised the governor’s commitment to holding town hall meetings, which they said provide a vital platform for citizen engagement in shaping the state’s development agenda.
