Kizz Daniel x Davido ‘Twe Twe’ remix tops Q1 music charts
TurnTable Charts has unveiled its first-quarter report for 2024, revealing Kizz Daniel and Davido’s ‘Twe Twe’ remix as the reigning champion in the Nigerian music scene.
Since its release in January, the ‘Twe Twe’ remix has dominated streaming platforms and airwaves across the country, solidifying its position as the biggest song of the first quarter of 2024. ADEAYO ADEBIYI reports that the remix, featuring Davido, sparked immediate reactions on social media, with listeners divided over Davido’s guest appearance.
The social media buzz quickly translated into success as the song soared to the top of the TurnTable Top 100 chart for several weeks.
According to data compiled by TurnTable Charts, ‘Twe Twe’ remix clinched the top spot across all major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, and Audiomack. Additionally, it garnered more airplay reach than any other song during the period.
Following closely behind ‘Twe Twe’ remix is Mohbad and Chike’s chart-topping single ‘Egwu,’ which has enjoyed consistent success since its release in December 2023. Shallipopi and Odumodublvck’s collaboration ‘Cast’ secured the third spot on the list, while Omah Lay’s ‘Holy Ghost’ and Seyi Vibez’s ‘Different Pattern’ rounded off the top five.
