Napoli and Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has strongly rebutted claims made by Mamuka Jugeli, the agent of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, suggesting that Osimhen is poised to make a move to the Saudi League in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Despite Osimhen recently committing to a new deal with Napoli, which reportedly includes a release clause ranging from €120 million to €130 million, Jugeli asserted in an interview with Georgian media 1Tv, as quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, that Napoli increased Osimhen’s salary to facilitate a potential summer transfer, a proposition Osimhen allegedly rejected.
Jugeli remarked, “Osimhen has signed a new contract, but do you really believe he will play for Napoli for his entire career? I’ll tell you in advance, he will go to Saudi Arabia next summer. Napoli raised his salary, but Khvicha wouldn’t accept such a transfer even for a billion.”
Responding to Jugeli’s statements, Osimhen took to his Instagram story on Wednesday to express his strong disapproval. In a post directed at Jugeli, Osimhen wrote, “Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace. I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumb f*ck! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!”
