A notable businessman, Emmanuel Eze, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Kore town in Danbatta Local Government Area of Kano State on Thursday.

Kano State Police spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the incident on Friday, further disclosed that Eze was picked up from his grocery shop at about 10.30 pm.

He, however, reassured that the police have mobilised officers and commenced efforts to rescue the victim and arrest the assailants.
