Former BBNaija reality TV star, Cee-C, has lent her voice to the call against the activities of the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
The alleged shooting of a young man in Delta State had renewed calls against the activities of the police unit which was created to fight violent crimes.
In reaction, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Adamu Mohammed, issued a directive which bans SARS from patrol and unauthorized searches.
However, Cee-C believes the government needs to transform its words into action.
“When mothers and fathers have to mourn the senseless killings of their children by the police, the same police that is meant to protect them, the government must step in and end SARS. Not just in words but in action,” she shared.
