Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka has said that armed robbers dress better than operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
The comedian made this known while lending his voice to the call for the scrap or reform of the police unit created to fight crime.
Sharing a picture of a SARS operative, Gbenga Adeyinka condemned his dressing and questioned if such commands respect.
He shared on Instagram:
“This is all shades of wrong. How are you supposed to respect and obey an officer that is dressed like this if not for the gun he is carrying?
“Armed Robbers who came to rob me some years ago were better dressed than this.
“IGP has to look INTO the way OUR officers turn out. This is a national disgrace so apart from #EndSARS we must also #BRINGRESPECTBACKTOTHEPOLICE.”
