COVID-19: Ekiti PDP wishes Fayemi quick recovery
The Ekiti State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed solidarity with the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, who just tested positive for COVID-19.
The party, in a statement in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday by the Secretary of the State Caretaker Committee, Prince Diran Odeyemi, wished Governor Fayemi quick recovery, urging those who had contact with him to self-isolate and undergo the necessary COVID-19 test.
Odeyemi said testing positive for Coronavirus was not a death sentence, adding that Fayemi will surely recover and come out negative.
The party urged Ekiti people to keep faith with the COVID-19 protocols outlined by the government, bearing in mind that the fact that virus is real and yet to have any cure.
“As a party, we wish the governor well. We pray that he recovers quickly.
“We also wish to call on our people in the length and breadth of Ekiti State to continue to observe the COVID-19 protocols so as to keep low the rate of infection in the State,” Odeyemi said.
