Kate Henshaw dazzles at 46

Veteran Nollywoood actress Kate Henshaw is celebrating her 46th birthday today.

The Nollywood beauty took to her Instagram page to express her excitement.

She wrote;

“Who am I that you are mindful of me?

That you hear me, when I call…

Thank you does not seem enough..
That I am alive today, hale and hearty..
Thank you does not seem enough.
Make me a better person, giving of myself..
For you have not given me a Spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind.
Grateful for another year…
Though saying thank you is not enough…
Accept it sincerely.
Thank you Lord..”

Kate, the first of four children was born on 19th July 1971 in Cross river, the Calabar state capital.

She is a graduate of Medical Microbiology from the School of Medical Lab Science, Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Lagos.
Kate’s first major appearance was her lead role in the movie When the Sun Sets.’

Other movies in which she featured in are: The meeting, Above Death:In God We Trust, Aremu The Principal, Consequences, scars of womanhood, stronger than pain amongst others.

In 2008 she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film Stronger than Pain.

Kate had once run for the senatorial seat for Calabar South under the flagship of the People’s Democratic Party.
