Gunmen have reportedly abducted no fewer than 15 persons were in multiple attacks along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road, WuzupNigeria reports.
The incident it was gathered happened on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
The victims include a family conveying the body of their father, who died at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria, to Birnin Gwari when the bandits attacked them on Birnin Gwari Road, killing the driver and kidnapping the passengers.
At Ungwan Ma’aji, Millennium City Kaduna, where nine persons were kidnapped Wednesday night, residents said a similar incident took place last Friday when a Kaduna Polytechnic lecturer identified as Tijjani and two others were kidnapped.
The residents said the kidnappers have contacted the family of the polytechnic lecturer and demanded N10m ransom.
Meanwhile, WuzupNigeria earlier reported the kidnap of a policewoman, Inspector Gloria Sebastine.
An eyewitness who escaped the kidnappers, Ayuba Chiwar, said a gang stormed their house around 10:30pm and whisked away the inspector.
“I was was in the sitting room chatting around 10:24 pm when suddenly, I heard a hard knock on our gate,” he said.
“When they got access into the house, they started shouting, where is the boy? They were slapping my sister to produce me, but she told them she didn’t know where I escaped to. So, they went away with her.”
