We will not take COVID-19 patient to Lagos – Akeredolu
Ondo Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has ruled out taking the COVID-19 patient in the state to Lagos for treatment.
Governor Akeredolu said the state has the capacity to treat the patient, who is a military officer that just returned from India.
Akeredolu, who spoke in Akure at a world press conference, said contact tracing for the patient has begun.
He stated that the contact tracing has been confined to the military barrack as the patient was in self-isolation since he returned from India.
The Ondo Governor said he planned to build five isolation centres across the state.
