2020 UTME: Candidates lament long queues as they struggle to register for NIN in Lagos [Video]
Many candidates on Thursday thronged registration centres for the National Identification Number as the registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) begins on Monday.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had on October 17, 2019, said it will no longer register candidates who do not have the NIN for the UTME.
It warns that only intending candidates who have the NIN will be registered, beginning with the 2020 UTME.
Candidates were seen at various centers struggling to register for the NIN.
Some of the candidates lament the process and called on the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to ease the process.
JAMB, however, announced on Saturday that it has suspended the use of NIN for the examination this year until 2021.
