Kevin Hart returns to work after car crash left him with serious injuries
American comic actor Kevin Hart has reportedly returned to work as he continued to recover from a horrendous car accident.
The actor and comedian was left with serious back injuries and had to have emergency surgery for three fractures in his spine which needed fusion after his vintage Plymouth Barracuda careered off the road while being driven by a friend in early October.
Now it’s been reported the star is slowly returning to work a couple of hours a day, as he continues extensive rehabilitation from home.
Kevin, 40, spent 10 days in hospital following the collision in Malibu last month, and after taking time out of the spotlight and having his buddy Dwayne Johnson fill a few slots, he’s apparently back.
According to TMZ, Kevin is promoting his upcoming movie Jumanji: The Next Level – which is a sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle – through a marketing campaign.
However, while his presence is said to be required, the publication has claimed the workload isn’t too strenuous for the star as he heals – adding he was ‘nowhere near 100%’ yet.
It’s said the star is determined to fulfil his commitments as best he can, and was on set for two hours a day on Monday and Tuesday this week.
Sources claimed he will return for another two hours of work on Thursday and said that he has been spending most of his time on set sat down, as although he can walk on his own, he’s not able to put strain on his back for long periods of time.
WuzupNigeria reports that last month, Kevin was in his car with two other people – driver Jared Black and Jared’s fiancee Rebecca Broxterman – when his Plymouth Barracuda veered off the highway and ended up in a gully about 10 feet off the road.
