Decomposing body of a farmworker, allegedly murdered by boss, discovered in Ogun farm
The Ogun State Police Command have found a decomposing body of a farmworker who was allegedly murdered by his boss over a theft allegation levelled against him.
It was gathered that the 27-year-old farmworker Identified as Mukaila Ogunsola who reportedly lived in Asimolowo village, along Mowe-Ofada road in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state was allegedly killed by one Adekoya.
Adekoya was said to be the owner of the farm situated along Adejunrin road, Owode-Egba town where the deceased worked.
It was further gathered that the deceased was lured to the farm by Adekoya on August 11, on the pretence that he wanted to see him for an important matter.
However, on getting to the farm, Adekoya allegedly killed him and hid his body in a mango tree on the farm.
The source further disclosed that the family of the deceased had reported at the Owode-Egba police division when the victim’s whereabouts could not be ascertained.
A team of Policemen reportedly carried out a search on the farm on August 15 and found the decomposing body of the farmworker allegedly hidden in a mango tree
A family member, Tajudeen Shodunke, said the bicycle the deceased rode to the farm on a fateful day, was found at the entrance of the farm.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident.
Oyeyemi who said the matter was being investigated, added that some suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident.
