The English Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has named the Premier League Team of the Year for the 2018/2019 season.
Surprisingly, Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane did not make the much-anticipated list of top 11 players of the year.
The team is dominated by players from league title contenders Manchester City with six players, and Liverpool with four players. While Manchester United has one player on the team, other top four teams are missing out.
In a 4-3-3 formation, Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson is in goal while Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk, Aymeric Laporte, Andy Robertson are all across the back line.
In the midfield, there is Paul Pogba, Fernandinho, Bernardo Silva, while, up front, Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, and Sadio Mane finish off the line-up.
