Ambulance crushes three to death in Abia
A black Sports Utility Vehicle utilized as an ambulance has been involved in an accident in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, resulting in the loss of three lives.
The accident occurred on Thursday in front of Dacoo Petrol Station at Umuafukwu/Umuagwa village, along Ikot Ekpene Road, in Obingwa LGA.
The ambulance, reportedly traveling at high speed, collided with tricycles and motorcycles, causing fatalities and severe injuries.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the driver of the ambulance, following the collision, continued to speed away before eventually veering into a nearby bush, where the vehicle came to a stop.
The circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol, remain unclear.
The injured victims have been promptly transported to the hospital for necessary medical attention.
This incident follows closely on the heels of another unfortunate event where a 40-feet container fell from a truck at the Ogbo Hill area of Aba, resulting in the crushing of vehicles and the loss of lives.
