Woman in court for allegedly forging employer’s bank receipt
A 50-year-old woman, Ayaga Bolanle, was on Friday arraigned in an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun State for allegedly forging bank receipt belonging to her employer.
Bolanle, whose address was not provided, is charged with two charges of stealing and forgery.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on January 4, at 7.30 a.m. in Ota.
Adaraloye said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 467 and 516 of the Criminal Code,Vol.1,Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate A.O. Adeyemi admitted the defendant to N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
Adeyemi adjourned the case until February 21 for further hearing.
